Alison Braly
Alison Behrens Braly has been a member of St. John's since 1994, when she and her parents, Buddy and Carol, moved to Norman. In her years at St. John’s, she has been baptized by Fr. Miller, confirmed by Bishop Moody, and married by Fr. Helt. She has served in a variety of ministries; as an acolyte, a lay reader, a Search Committee member, a Sunday School teacher, an Alternate Delegate to Convention, and head of the Santa Ministry. She was married to her husband John Braly from 2010 until his death in 2020. They were faithful "7:30ers", and she remains so. Alison was honored to be asked to accept a nomination to vestry and is excited to see how St. John's can grow in this time of change.
She believes the church is ready to embrace new technologies and welcome new ministries, while maintaining the strong bonds and togetherness that has been underscored as we have all worked so hard to adapt and stay connected during the pandemic.
